WROCLAW, Poland, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- A Polish student who took it upon himself to hang one of his own paintings at the National Museum in Wroclaw said it took employees three days to notice.

Andrew Sobiepan, a student at the Wroclaw Academy of Fine Arts, said he decided not to "wait 30 or 40 years" for his work to make it into a museum so he took it upon himself to hang the painting at the museum, TVN24 reported Wednesday.

"I want to live in the here and now. In fact it was quite spontaneous," he said.

Sobiepan said employees noticed the painting after three days and had it taken down.
