MONTVILLE, Conn., Jan. 3 (UPI) -- A Connecticut couple celebrating their 70th anniversary said they are marking the occasion by renewing their vows.

Richard Schlink, 92, and his wife, Mary, 88, of Montville, said they are celebrating their 70th anniversary Tuesday with all 10 of their children and they will renew their vows at St. John's Church, the same location where their wedding was held, WTNH-TV, New Haven, Conn., reported Tuesday.

"Just keep going day by day, that's all. You know there's nothing like being together," Mary said of the secret to her long marriage.

She said Richard insisted on renewing their vows.

"Did it last year, but he says got to do it," Mary said.

"Don't know if I'll make it another year, but we're here," Richard said.
