OTTAWA, Jan. 2 (UPI) -- An Ottawa couple, their names a mystery, have laid claim to a $50 million lottery prize, officials say.

An Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. official said the man and woman validated their winning ticket for the Friday Lotto Max drawing at an Ottawa store, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported Monday.

The winners are expected to officially claim the prize this week, lottery official Tony Bitonti said.

Lottery officials aren't saying where in Ottawa the ticket was purchased and won't reveal any more information about the winners until everything is confirmed.

The lucky couple beat the 1-in-28,633,528 odds.

Four other tickets from the same drawing won $1 million Maxmillion prizes. One was sold in Toronto and the other three were sold in western Canada, the CBC said.
