DADE CITY, Fla., Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Commissioners in Florida's Pasco County voted to spend $3,818 on promoting the county as a destination for international nudists.

The Pasco County Commission voted 4-1 Tuesday to approve the grant for non-profit PANDAbare, the Pasco Area Naturist Development Association, to promote the county as a tourist destination for nudists from England and Germany during the slow tourism months of July and August, The Tampa Tribune reported Wednesday.

The county, which has been home to nudist resorts for 70 years, denied the funding to PANDAbare in 2008.
