ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla., Dec. 15 (UPI) -- Authorities in Florida said they arrested a woman accused of attacking her ex-boyfriend with the antlers of a mounted deer head.
Terry Nowakowski, 20, told Pasco County sheriff's deputies he and his ex-girlfriend, Chelsea Harrison, 23, still live together in Zephyrhills for financial reasons and for the good of their 3-year-old daughter.
The woman apparently became angry Tuesday when he went outside to call his current girlfriend, the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times reported.
Nowakowski said Harrison locked him out of the home and punched him in the face when he attempted to enter by removing a window screen. Nowakowski said he then attempted to break down the door and was confronted inside by Harrison wielding the mounted deer head.
Harrison "began striking him in the face and body with the ends of the antlers until she lost her grip dropping it to the floor," the sheriff's office report states.
Nowakowski had cuts and swelling on his face from the attack, deputies said.
Harrison was charged with domestic battery and ordered held without bail.
