SWEETWATER, Fla., Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Police in Florida said they arrested two women who allegedly took Christmas decorations worth hundreds of dollars from their neighbors.
Sweetwater Police said the women, whose names were not released, were recorded by a security camera when they drove up to neighbor Ingrid Alemendarez's home and stole about $500 worth of Christmas decorations from her lawn, WSVN-TV, Miami, reported Friday.
"This is what we would consider a grand theft," a police detective said. "[They stole] Mickey Mouse on a horse, some hugging penguins, Snoopy on a dog house, and Santa on a sled."
Alemendarez said she called police after she spotted the decorations in a house less than a block away from her home.
