SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- A San Francisco-based Web site's 2011 list of the top 100 baby names was topped by Aiden for boys and Sophia for girls, both with various spellings.

BabyCenter.com, which based the list on 300,000 sets of parents who registered the names of their newborns this year, said its 12th annual list was topped by Aiden and Sophia, the same names at the top of last year's list, USA Today reported Thursday.

BabyCenter editor-in-chief Linda Murray said new arrivals in the top 10 this year include Mason and Liam for boys and Emily for girls. She said this year's survey also found a trend of newborns named after the children of celebrities, such as Harper after David and Victoria Beckham's daughter; names from nature, such as Rain, River, Summer and Clover; and names bearing a Spanish influence, such as Xavier and Valentina.

The top 10 names for girls also included Emma, Isabella, Olivia, Ava, Lily, Chloe, Madison and Abigail.

The boys' top 10 list also included Jackson, Jacob, Jayden, Ethan, Noah, Lucas and Logan.
