Mary Ferrone, of Sunrise, who has eight children, 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, said she and a friend decided to play Nov. 21 at the Seminole Casino Hollywood, where she said she was a regular years ago, and she hit the $53,367 jackpot with only 47 numbers called, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported Tuesday.
"My grandchildren will have a great Christmas now," Ferrone said.
Robert Dearstine, director of marketing for the casino, said Ferrone had more than half of the called numbers among the 48 on her card.
"It's like winning the lottery in bingo," he said.
