APOPKA, Fla., Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Florida authorities said a man was arrested and charged with attempted murder after he allegedly drove a forklift into an occupied trailer home multiple times.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office said John Miller was attempting to evict the tenants Tuesday afternoon from the mobile home he owns on West Ponkan Road in Apopka and drove the front-loading forklift into the home several times, despite being told by a female tenant there were still people inside, WKMG-TV, Orlando, reported Thursday.
"He started plowing into the trailer while my sister, my two brothers, my son and my sister-in-law were inside," the tenant said.
Miller was taken to the Orange County Jail on attempted-murder charges.
Deputies said no one was injured during the incident.
