Police: Teen swiped officer's iPhone

MALMO, Sweden, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Swedish police said they arrested a teenager who allegedly swiped an undercover officer's phone while showing off a soccer move.

Malmo police said the officer was on undercover patrol when the Spanish 19-year-old, who was with two friends, introduced himself and said he was in Sweden on vacation, The Local reported Wednesday.

The teenager discussed soccer with the officer and the pair discussed Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic's tendency to kick opponents in the shins. The suspect touched the officer while showing off the trick and soon parted ways with the officer.

Police said the officer soon realized his iPhone was missing and enlisted the help of a colleague to activate the phone's GPS tracking function.

The officers found the trio, who had changed clothes, and the phone was found in the pocket of one of the men with the 19-year-old, who denied taking the item.

The teenager was arrested and charged with aggravated theft.
