CHENANGO, N.Y., Nov. 4 (UPI) -- A tractor-trailer overturned on Interstate 81 in Chenango, N.Y., and spilled doughnuts across the roadway and median, Broome County Sheriff Tom Sienko said.

"A lot of doughnuts" spilled from their boxes after the truck hit a guardrail and rolled over about 2:30 a.m. Friday, Sienko said.

The sheriff said the southbound lanes were closed for less than an hour following the accident.

The driver, John Harrington, was taken to the United Health Services Wilson Medical Center to receive treatment for minor injures, the (Binghamton, N.Y.) Press & Sun Bulletin reported.

The sheriff's office said Harrington was cited for a log-book violation, moving from his lane unsafely and having an unsafe tire.
