QUINCY, Mass., Oct. 19 (UPI) -- Massachusetts police said a drunken driving suspect who allowed his children to be towed away with his car showed up at the wrong courthouse.

Police said an arrest warrant was issued for Fredly Misere, 30, of Pawtucket, R.I., after he showed up Tuesday at Attleboro District Court instead of Quincy District Court where he was due to appear for a probation violation hearing stemming from the Sunday incident, the Boston Herald reported Wednesday.

Misere appeared Monday in Attleboro District Court to be arraigned on drunken-driving and child endangerment charges.

Massachusetts State Police spokesman David Procopio said Misere was arrested Sunday after a tow truck driver found him parked and asleep behind the wheel in the high-speed lane of Interstate 95. The driver told police Misere had a bottle of Corona between his legs and appeared intoxicated when he was woken up.

Misere told police his children were in Boston, but the tow truck driver discovered after taking the vehicle away that the suspect's two daughters, ages 4 months and 4 years, were in the backseat.
