TAFT, Calif., Oct. 17 (UPI) -- A California skydiving company said it fired an instructor who also works as a porn star after he posted a video online of him having sex during freefall.

Dave Chrouch, owner of Skydive Taft, said part-time instructor Alex Torres, who also works as a porn star, was fired after posting a video of himself online having sex with company receptionist Hope Howell in a plane and continuing the act during a tandem jump, KGET-TV, Bakersfield, Calif., reported Monday.

"I didn't know it until one of the officers came over from the Taft Police Department and informed me this was going around the kids in school and stuff," Chrouch said. "Apparently they told my pilot it was OK to do this. And got here early in the morning before anyone got here and shot this."

Chrouch said Torres told him he performed the stunt to get the attention of radio host Howard Stern.

The owner said he has not yet decided whether Howell will also be fired.

"This shouldn't have happened. And it won't ever happen again, that's for sure," he said.
