The volunteers at the M'Finda Kalunga Garden on Rivington Street said the birds were moved to an upstate animal farm after neighbors of the Lower East Side garden complained about the birds' crowing, which the neighbors said would start in the early morning and continue throughout the day, the New York Post reported Monday. Advertisement "It would be nice if they crowed after my alarm clock goes off, not at 4 or 5 in the morning," one neighbor said prior to the removal of the noisy roosters. "I'm a sensitive sleeper, so it wakes me up. Then I hear it over and over again. They should move them out of here. Roosters are not meant for city life." Volunteer Elizabeth Hardwick, 54, said the garden won't be the same without the roosters, Napoleon and Caesar. "They're actually very loving and friendly," Hardwick said.
