MOUNT PROSPECT, Ill., Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Police arrested a Mount Prospect, Ill., man who allegedly broke into a restaurant and made himself a meal.

Video surveillance of Mr. Beef and Pizza in Mount Prospect allegedly shows Hachem Gomez, 19, entering the restaurant early Saturday by breaking into the drive-through window, the Arlington Heights (Ill.) Daily Herald reported.

Assistant State's Attorney Robin Murphy said the video also shows Gomez damaging a cash register before stealing fries and chicken tenders from a freezer and cooking them in a microwave.

There was no indication that Gomez was drunk or under the influence of drugs at the time of the burglary and the man has no criminal background, Murphy said.

Gomez's bond was set at $5,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 21.
