MOUNT HEALTHY, Ohio, Sept. 9 (UPI) -- An Ohio woman whose wedding was scheduled for Friday said it's the same date her grandparents, great-grandparents and great-great-grandparents married.

Angelynn Perchermeier of Mount Healthy, who was to marry Air Force Staff Sgt. Kyle Ray, said her grandparents are celebrating their 50th anniversary on the same day, which would also have been her great-grandparents' 75th anniversary and her great-great-grandparents' 100th anniversary, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported Friday.

"There's a lot of tradition and a lot of love in our family connected to Sept. 9," Perchermeier said.

Ray said he is proud to continue the tradition and he hopes "our kids get married on Sept. 9."

Annette Perchermeier Litzinger of White Oak, the bride's aunt, said the family does not know why the original couple chose to marry on Sept. 9 in 1911.

"No one thought to ask and write it down," Litzinger said.
