AMHERST, N.H., Sept. 2 (UPI) -- A New Hampshire auction house said items at an upcoming sale include a glove Neil Armstrong wore during astronaut training and the first Bible on the moon.
Bobby Livingston of RR Auction said the online auction, which begins Sept. 15, consists of 832 items, including a "lunar Bible," one of 514 microfilm versions of the King James Bible made by the Apollo Prayer League and one of 100 carried to the moon in February 1971 by Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell, ABC News reported Friday.
"Many of these men were very spiritual," Livingston said. "Buzz Aldrin celebrated communion in the Lunar Module. Mitchell was interested in ESP."
Other items in the auction, which ends Sept. 22, include a glove worn by Neil Armstrong while training for his moonwalk and a page from the Apollo 11 flight plan signed by Buzz Aldrin.
