YUMA, Ariz., Aug. 27 (UPI) -- Authorities in Arizona responding to a report of a foul odor said they discovered a refrigerator full of rotting fish in a building with no power.

The Yuma Police Department and the Yuma Fire Department said they responded to the building, which used to house the business Power Hobbies, this week and decided to enter the building because they were concerned the stench could be from a body or drug lab, the Yuma Sun reported Friday.

"The patrol guys responded and called investigations," police Sgt. Clint Norred said. "We were unable to get ahold of the owner, who is apparently out of town. So when we went in to make sure it wasn't a body or something else, we actually found the power was out and there was a refrigerator full of fish."

"The power was out, so you can imagine," Norred said. "It was quite pungent."

Norred said it will be the landlord's responsibility to get rid of the fish.
