MESA, Ariz., Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Police in Arizona said they arrested a man who allegedly tried to steal exotic reptiles including albino boa constrictors by shoving them into his pants.
Mesa police said security camera footage from Predator's Reptile Center depicted Eric Fiegel, 22, shoving baby albino boa constrictors down his pants before exiting the store July 30, The Arizona Republic reported Thursday.
Police said Fiegel allegedly returned to the store later in the evening and left with more snakes in his pants.
Investigators said the suspect took some of the snakes to another pet store, where he traded them for $175 and a reptile tank worth $175.
Fiegel was located by a license plate number copied by a witness. He was arrested Tuesday on theft charges.
