NASHVILLE, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Police in Nashville said canisters of bull semen packed in liquid nitrogen fell from a Greyhound bus onto an interstate on ramp.
Authorities said fire and emergency crews responded to the on ramp to Interstate 65 south of downtown just after 5 a.m. Tuesday on a report of a foul odor, WKRN-TV, Nashville, reported Wednesday.
Officials said the on ramp was shut down after investigators found the four unmarked canisters on the ground with steam coming from them.
The containers were traced to Greyhound when investigators found bus tickets on the ground, and the bus company told authorities they were filled with bull semen being transported from Columbus, Ohio, to Laredo, Texas.
The canisters and their contents are worth an estimated $80,000, officials said.
