Couple runs afoul of courts with car sex

ROME, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- An Italian court has reaffirmed that having sex in a car is a felony.

The ruling came Monday in a case against a couple from the northern town of Biella, in Piedmont, found having sex in a car parked in the town's public square, ANSA reported.

The two were found by a patrolman who found them "completely naked, one on top of the other," the Italian news agency said.

The couple asked for a lighter charge of public indecency, a misdemeanor. The court was unsympathetic to the request, reaffirming an earlier court ruling labeling sex in a car as a felony.

The pair could be sentenced to between three months and three years in prison.

Gary Lenzner of Mission Viejo, who jumped out of the plane at 10,000 feet Sunday morning and landed safely on Nichol's Field in Jamul, said his birthday stunt was proof that "the idiot" Hitler "didn't succeed," The Orange County (Calif.) Register reported Monday.

"Not only didn't he succeed, I had two children, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren, and now I'm jumping out of an airplane," Lenzer said.

Lenzer escaped from the Buchenwald concentration camp in 1945 while being marched back from harvesting crops and hid in a farmhouse until U.S. tanks began rolling through the area.

Lenzer's skydive came on the same day as 82-year-old Judy Wade celebrated her own birthday by jumping out of a plane at Skydiving the Ranch in Gardiner, N.Y., the New York Daily News reported Monday.

"The older you get, the better life gets -- if you let it," Wade said.

2-year-old boy left behind at lake

MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Police in Minnesota said a 2-year-old boy reported missing by his parents turned out to have been left behind accidentally and was alone for about an hour.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office said the parents called them at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday and said their son had been with them at Lake Nokomis in Minneapolis and they noticed he wasn't with them when they went to visit friends in Spring Park, KSTP-TV, Minneapolis/St. Paul, reported Monday.

Investigators said both parents believed the boy had been with them when they left Lake Nokomis, but another child who was riding in the car told Orono police the boy had not been with them.

Orono police said they alerted Minneapolis police, who said they had just received a call about a child found alone at the lake.

Police said the boy, who was unharmed and had been alone for about an hour, was reunited with his family.

Florida gets its first nude 5K run

LOXAHATCHEE, Fla., Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Organizers of the Streak Sunsport Gardens 5K Benefit Run & Walk in Florida said the event is the first clothing-optional run in the state.

Daniel Phillips, 25, an organizer of the Aug. 27 event and a member of college nudist group Vita Nuda, said runners at the Sunsport Gardens Family Naturist Resort in Loxahatchee will only be asked to wear athletic shoes, the Palm Beach (Fla.) Post reported Monday.

"You can do interesting stuff while nude," Phillips said. "You can do cool stuff."

"In a clothed society, people tend to be different," Phillips said. "Nudists ... no one judges anyone, no one has any expectations for anything."

Phillips said he is hoping the run will be the first in a series of clothing-optional 5K runs he plans to organize next year.
