The State Police barracks in Milton said dispatchers directed the father to get off 1-95 at the Furnace Brook Parkway exit in Quincy at 2:30 a.m. Sunday and they were met by five state troopers who helped deliver the baby girl at 2:51 a.m., The Boston Globe reported Monday.
An ambulance took the Plainville woman and the newborn girl to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.
A State Police spokesman said the recent birth came after troopers helped a Burlington woman deliver her baby July 18 in the middle of a Cambridge intersection.
