Loch Ness Monster centers going to court

DRUMNADROCHIT, Scotland, July 28 (UPI) -- The owner of a Scottish Loch Ness Monster attraction said he and a rival are headed back to court after the other business failed to abide by a settlement.

Robbie Bremner, whose Drumnadrochit business used to be called the Official Loch Ness Exhibition Center, said Donald and Gillian Skinner, owners of the Original Loch Ness Monster Exhibition Center located only 100 yards away, failed to abide by an out-of-court settlement to change the names of both businesses, The Daily Telegraph reported Thursday.

Bremner said he changed the name of his visitors' center to the Loch Ness Center and Exhibition, but the competing business failed to change its name to Nessieland Castle Monster Center.

"We decided on two specific names and everything had to fall into line, and that doesn't seem to be happening. We have no choice but to go back to court since things don't seem to be getting adhered to," Bremner said.

Donald Skinner said he still intends to change the signs at his business, but he has been busy changing the name on multiple Web sites. He said he is hoping the matter can still be settled out of court.

"It could still be amicably settled over a cup of coffee. I would like to meet him so we could come to an agreement without going down the legal route," Skinner said.
