Mystery tombstone appears at LA park

LOS ANGELES, July 27 (UPI) -- Residents of a Los Angeles neighborhood said they are trying to solve the mystery of a tombstone found in a dog park with a 2012 date of death.

Sherman Oaks residents said the marble headstone first appeared in the dog park in front of a Moorpark Street condominium complex July 18, KTLA-TV, Los Angeles, reported Wednesday.

"Loving Husband Father and Physician Jeffrey Lang, 1976-2012," the headstone reads.

Residents of the apartment complex said there is no Jeffery Lang living on the property and no doctor with that name is listed with the California Medical Board.
