SYDNEY, July 27 (UPI) -- An Australian man made good on a bet about the outcome of the Tour de France by taking a daylight bike ride in a lime green "mankini."

The "mankini" in action

The Sydney resident, who identified himself by his nickname, "Flex," donned the garment, made famous by the film "Borat," Monday and biked up and down George Street in Sydney to make good on a promise he made in 2008 to take the exposed ride if Cadel Evans ever won the Tour de France, the Sydney Morning Herald reported Wednesday.

''A genuine Borat, lime green Mankini emerged as if summoned from 2008 when unsuspecting Bucks and big-noting chest beaters first fell foul of this quite distasteful fashion accessory,'' said Neale Muston, a friend of Flex.
