STRAFFORD, Pa., July 17 (UPI) -- About 50 people gathered in a Pennsylvania library for a weekend conference on unidentified flying objects and other unexplained phenomena, officials say.

Main Line Mutual UFO Network held the free conference Saturday at the Tredyffrin Township library, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported, with subject matter ranging from Sasquatch to "Credible and Convincing Evidence for the Existence of UFOs."

The convention had five speakers, one of which, Denis Denocla, traveled all the way from France to discuss his research, which includes his investigation of the Ummo people, an alleged alien civilization said to have sent letters to scientists decades ago containing information on antibiotic-resistant bacteria and stem-cell research. Denocla claims the level of knowledge in the letters was way ahead of its time.

"I'll let you have your own opinion of those letters," Denocla said.
