Subscribe | UPI Odd Newsletter Subscribe HUTCHINSON, Kan., July 13 (UPI) -- A Kansas woman who was 39 weeks pregnant when she decided to go camping with her family said her doctor was wrong in predicting she wouldn't go into labor. Lorraina Fortine of Hutchinson said she was 39 weeks pregnant and scheduled to have a C-section Monday, but her doctor said she would not go into labor before then so she took a weekend camping trip with her family to celebrate her 3-year-old's birthday, KWCH-TV, Wichita, reported Tuesday. Advertisement However, Fortine said she woke up Saturday morning at Cheney Lake to find she was in labor. "I was feeling OK," she said. "I was having a few small contractions took some Tylenol, went and laid down. Well, she started coming out! I had her inside the tent!" Fortine said her daughter, Summer, was born weighing 7 pounds and 13 ounces. Paramedics arrived and took mother and daughter to a hospital.
