LOS ANGELES, July 8 (UPI) -- A Los Angeles restaurant is celebrating a visit to the city by Prince William and wife Kate with a hot dog inspired by the couple.

Richard Pink, owner of Pink's Hot Dogs, said the "Royal Dog," created in honor of Will and Kate's upcoming weekend visit to Los Angeles, consists of two hot dogs on one bun with mustard, cheese, onions, pickle relish, two slices of bacon and a "spot" of Pink's chili, the Los Angeles Times reported Friday.

Pink said the menu item, which costs $6 or a "mere trifle at 3.73 pounds," could become a permanent fixture if it proves popular with customers.

Pink said he is hoping the royal couple will become the latest celebrities to visit his eatery.

"I'm hoping they will," Pink said "They are a very hip and good-looking young couple, and that's who likes to come to Pink's."
