NEW YORK, June 27 (UPI) -- A New York hot dog vendor who said business has been slowing down said she is augmenting income by offering bridal bouquets alongside the sausages.
Kohnoor Begum, 49, who runs a hot dog stand with her daughter outside the Marriage Bureau in Manhattan, said she and her daughter have been encouraging couples going into the building to buy their colorful artificial bouquets and boutonnieres, the New York Post reported Monday.
"Business is very slow," Begum said. "We need to make more money."
Bride Jeleinnie Gonzalez bought one of the stand's bouquets for her wedding while groom Eric Gonzalez enjoyed a hot dog.
"It's pretty cool. She's selling flowers and hot dogs," Eric Gonzalez said. "I don't think you could find this in any other city."
