OTTAWA, June 15 (UPI) -- Canada's Discount Car & Truck Rentals said a customer who left a box containing $50,000 worth of jewelry was reunited with her possessions.

The company said Nicole Kiatipis, a customer service representative at the Ottawa location, received a call from a customer who explained she had left the box of valuables in the rental car while returning from an out-of-town event with her husband.

Kiatipis was able to locate the jewelry box and arranged for it to be returned to the woman.

"Nicole is a true representation of our core values and corporate culture," said Herb Singer, president and founder of Discount Car & Truck Rentals. "Her actions demonstrate the superior service that our customers have come to expect from us."

Singer said the customer gave Kiatipis a reward that she used to buy a pizza lunch for the whole office.
