WASHINGTON, June 4 (UPI) -- U.S. President Barack Obama and his Republican political nemesis, House Speaker John Boehner, will golf it out together this month, a spokesman said.

A week after Obama played a round at Fort Belvoir, Va., The Hill newspaper quoted a spokesman for Boehner as saying the pair had agreed to play a round June 18 in Washington.

Ohio's Boehner, who leads the Republican House majority, told Fox News in January he was confident he'd out-golf the president in an eventual showdown.

"I'm sure I'll have to give him strokes," he said.

There were no such prognostications from Obama or his staff.

Golf Digest does a ranking specific to Washington personalities and Boehner is No. 43 on the list, while Obama is at No. 108.
