MUSKEGON, Mich., May 19 (UPI) -- A 98-year-old Michigan woman said she was pleased to wear the gown from her 1938 wedding once more, this time for a vintage bridal gown show.

Agnes Anderson of Laketon said the dress was in perfect condition when she retrieved it from storage to wear in the show May 10 at the Samuel Lutheran Church in Muskegon, where her daughter, Alice Land, is a member, the Muskegon Chronicle reported Wednesday.

Anderson first wore the dress for her 1938 wedding to Delmar Anderson, who died in 1989.

"I never had it out, but pulling out the gown, you relieve those moments, all those times," Anderson said. "I can't complain. I've had a very, very happy life."

Anderson said she was expecting to be escorted down the aisle at the fashion show by a church member, but her son, Dick Anderson, made a surprise visit to walk with her during the event.

Twenty bridal gowns, dating from 1933 to 2006, were featured in the show.
