AUGUSTA, Ga., May 12 (UPI) -- Witnesses at a Waffle House restaurant in Georgia said police and firefighters were called when an air conditioning repair man found someone living on the roof.

Augusta firefighters said they were unable to determine how the man had gotten onto the roof or how long he had been there when they were called to remove him Tuesday, WJBF, Augusta, reported Wednesday.

The man was found to be dehydrated and was taken to a nearby hospital, witnesses said.

"No, you never expect anything like this, a person on top of the roof at a waffle house? No, never that," witness James Mayle said.
