FARMINGTON, Conn., April 27 (UPI) -- Police in Connecticut said two men were arrested while allegedly burglarizing a home one day after they were arrested on suspicion of robbery at another home.
Farmington police said Robert Stewart, 49, and George Sawyer, 40, were arrested Sunday after allegedly entering a home through an unlocked door, The Hartford (Conn.) Courant reported Tuesday.
The men were released after being charged with third-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary.
Police said the same two were arrested Monday, along with a third man, Brian Stewart, 39, after a passerby told police they had been seen entering a home.
Investigators said the men were ripping copper electrical wires from the walls of the home. All three men were charged with third-degree burglary and attempt to commit sixth-degree larceny.
All three were jailed in lieu of $50,000 bond.
