Paraplegic bunny gets mobility cart

TUCSON, April 26 (UPI) -- An Arizona man said his young son designed and built a small cart for a paraplegic rabbit the family discovered had been abandoned by its mother in their yard.

Paul O'Rourke of Tucson said he and his family found a pair of young rabbits abandoned by their mother in the family's back yard and they soon discovered the bunny they nicknamed Joe had no use of his hind legs, KGUN-TV, Tucson, reported Tuesday.

O'Rourke said his young son Paul designed and built a small cart for Joe to use and the wagon improved the animal's mobility.

The family said the rabbits were taken to a wildlife rescue center.
