RAVENNA, Ohio, March 31 (UPI) -- Police in Ohio said a woman who called 911 from the trunk of her car told officers she had accidentally trapped herself in the rear of the vehicle.

Ravenna police and the Ohio Highway Patrol said officers responded to a 911 call placed by the woman at about noon Wednesday and they freed her from the trunk of her Pontiac Sunfire, the Record-Courier, Ravenna, reported Thursday.

The woman told officers she had accidentally closed herself in the trunk. The events leading up to the woman's entrapment were unclear, the Record-Courier said.

The vehicle had been parked in front of a Subway restaurant with the doors open and the keys in the ignition.
