Woman finds frog in can of beans

LEXINGTON, Ky., March 21 (UPI) -- A Kentucky woman said she found a dead frog in a can of green beans she purchased at a grocery store.

Priscilla Owens of Lexington said she made the discovery Sunday inside the can of Wylwood Blue Lake Cut Green Beans she purchased a week or two previously at the Save-A-Lot store on North Broadway, WLEX-TV, Lexington, Ky., reported Monday.

"I poured it in there and I was like, 'God help me, please,'" she said, adding the frog was "the grossest thing I've ever seen."

Owens said store officials told her they are investigating the find.

"They were like, 'well we'll look into it, but you can come bring the can back to the store and we'll replace it,' and I was like, 'No, no, I'm going to see what I can do to try and get that batch off the shelf,'" Owens said.

Save-A-Lot officials said they were unable to comment, WLEX-TV said.
