WILLIAMSTOWN, N.J., March 21 (UPI) -- A Pennsylvania man celebrated his 100th birthday by jumping out of an airplane 13,000 feet over the Earth.

Fred Mack of Newtown Square said his tandem skydiving jump Sunday at Free Fall Adventures in Williamstown, N.J., was the culmination of a promise he made five years ago when he made his first-ever skydiving jump to mark his 95th birthday, KYW-TV, Philadelphia, reported Monday.

"I'm still alive," Mack said after landing Sunday.

Dr. Elliot Gerber, Mack's cardiologist, said he contacted Guinness World Records about the centenarian's accomplishment.

"I cleared him last time, this time they didn't ask for me to sign off," Gerber said. "Mack has been my patient for 20 years and he is in great shape. He's an amazing man."
