LONDON, March 18 (UPI) -- Cherie Blair says she and her husband, the former British prime minister, still enjoy their sex life.
An interviewer for ES, a magazine distributed Friday with the Evening Standard, asked Blair, 56, what she and her husband do when he returns to London from trips to Africa and the Middle East.
"Tony and I have been married 31 years and known each other more like 35 years, and even after 35 years he still excites me, in all possible ways," she responded.
Both Blairs have been far more public about their private lives than most British political couples, especially considering they have not been dragged into the open by a sex scandal. Blair is a Catholic and her husband converted after leaving 10 Downing Street.
A couple of years ago, Blair revealed she had her fourth child, Leo, when she was 45, because she was too embarrassed to take a birth control device to Balmoral Castle, knowing her suitcase would be unpacked by a maid.
Blair said she keeps busy even when her husband is away. She works as a lawyer and judge under her maiden name, Booth, and has a foundation that helps African women.
