Cake bust made of Prince William, Kate

LONDON, March 15 (UPI) -- A British woman's entry in a London cake decorating competition is a cake bust of Prince William and fiancee Kate Middleton.

Michelle Wibowo created the cake for the Ideal Home Show's Cake Decorator of the Year contest at London's Earls Court, The Mirror reported Monday. Participants were encouraged to use a royal wedding theme.

Wibowo, who runs her own company, Sugarart, said her traditional English fruit cake is carved into 3D busts of the royal couple with an armature inside and is covered with apricot jam.

The cake is to go on display with other entries Wednesday.

"I used this cake competition as a great opportunity to do something different, other than the usual traditional decorated round tiered cake people normally expect for a wedding cake. It was really a challenge for me to do this cake. It's hard work, but I really enjoyed making it," Wibowo said.
