WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., March 12 (UPI) -- Authorities in Florida said they discovered two pounds of marijuana in a 33-pound shipment of sealed peanut butter jars.

The Martin County Sheriff's Office said drug sniffing dogs at the West Palm Beach post office detected a scent inside the shipment of Skippy and Fed Meyer brand peanut butter Feb. 23 and the homeowner at the Jensen Beach address where the shipment was headed declined to accept the peanut butter and said he had been a victim of identity theft, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported Friday.

Deputies found two pounds of marijuana, worth an estimated $7,500, in wrapped balls inside the jars. Investigators said they are trying to track the shipment back to the sender.
