ATLANTA, Feb. 15 (UPI) -- Georgia's Zoo Atlanta employed actor Jack Black to announce the name given the facility's 3-month-old panda, Po.
Black, star of the upcoming "Kung Fu Panda 2," spoke to a crowd of panda fans at the zoo Tuesday morning and pulled a card with the name printed on it from an Oscar-like envelope, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
The zoo said the male panda, who was born Nov. 3, was not named until its 100th day of life in keeping with Chinese tradition. The panda, the third born at the zoo and the only one born in the United States during 2010, is expected to go on display to the public in March or April.
