Yanping Chen, a sophomore at the school, said the OrigaMIT club is "trying to get people to understand it's not about paper boats and cranes," The Boston Globe reported Monday. Advertisement Creations made by club members include a 17-foot-long paper triceratops, a model of the university logo called "Mens et Manus," and variations on the classic crane. "We haven't seen a huge boom, but it's definitely growing," said Jason Ku, president of OrigaMIT, which boasts about 200 members on its mailing list. Club members said their latest creations will go on display at the school in March.
