Officials at the Toledo Zoo said Harvey, a chimp who arrived at the zoo in 1971, celebrated his birthday Sunday with wrapped presents and a Cheerios-topped strawberry yogurt and oatmeal "cake," The (Toledo) Blade reported Monday. Advertisement Suzanne Husband, the zoo's lead keeper of primates, said 52 is old for a chimp and Harvey is believed to be the third-oldest chimp at a U.S. zoo. She said Harvey has been the zoo's sole chimp since the death of his girlfriend, Fifi, at the age of 49 in October 2009. Workers said Harvey's birthday gifts included a soccer ball, stuffed animals, a hair brush and an unbreakable mirror. "He is still extraordinarily playful," Husband said.
