Bird, 77, is asking Barnsley, England, officials to raise the plinth of the statue erected in his honor by a few feet to place it out of reach of underwear-wielding youngsters, The Mirror reported Monday. Advertisement The 6-foot-tall statue, erected in 2009, has frequently been adorned with bras and underpants hanging from its outstretched finger.
