Cops follow prints in snow, nab suspects

EVANSTON, Ill., Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Police in Evanston, Ill., said they followed footprints in the snow to catch up with and arrest two young men and a teenage boy for burglary.

Jamir Johnson and Michael Smith, both of Evanston and 18, were charged with burglarizing a home, police said. The 16-year-old boy also was charged in the case.

A witness told police Tuesday he saw three males run from a home, one carrying a television, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

Police said the officers simply followed the suspects' footprints from the house to another home 12 blocks away, where they found the suspects in the attic.
