TENBY, England, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- A 103-year-old British woman who may be the world's oldest Facebook user said she regularly browses the Web site on her iPad.

Lillian Lowe of Tenby, England, said she uses the Facebook app for the iPad to keep in touch with her 34 friends, including seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, The Sun reported Wednesday.

"I love it -- it's very exciting. It's a wonderful way of finding out about things," she said of the iPad's Facebook capabilities. "I recommend it for any grandparents to keep in touch with family."

Lowe said she never even used a mobile phone before her grandson, Steve, 47, introduced her to the iPad.

The previous holder of the record for world's oldest Facebook user, Ivy Bean of Bradford, England, died at the age of 104 in July.

A Facebook spokesman said the company is unsure of whether Lowe is now the oldest person on the site.

"We can't confirm if this lady is the oldest, but Lillian shows you can never be too old to join Facebook," the spokesman said.
