CLARKSTON, Ga., Dec. 7 (UPI) -- A Georgia man who used his video camera to record what appears to be a fireball rocketing across the sky said he does not know what the object was.

Charsign Raymond, 39, of Clarkston, said he was visiting a friend west of downtown Stone Mountain when the friend's wife arrived home and announced there was something strange in the sky, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Tuesday.

Raymond said he used his video camera to capture video of the object, which appeared as a ball of fire falling toward the ground.

The DeKalb County Police Department said it received no reports about the mystery object.
