Car burglar gets away with Bible

SANFORD, Fla., Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Police in Florida said a man who was interrupted during a car burglary ran off with a bagged Bible he apparently believed to be the owner's purse.

Sanford police said the woman walked out of a Subway restaurant Monday and discovered a man was rummaging through her unlocked car, WKMG-TV, Orlando, reported Tuesday.

Officers said the man ran off with a bag containing a Bible, apparently believing it to be the woman's purse.

Police said the man evaded detection by a search helicopter and K-9 units.
