Medvedev tweets happy birthday to student

MOSCOW, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Russian President Dmitry Medvedev replied to a Moscow student's Twitter post with a happy birthday greeting.

Medvedev was tagged in a birthday post by Moscow State University student Yulia Oleynik, 17, and he used his Twitter account to reply: "Happy Birthday! I wish you happiness," RIA Novosti reported Friday.

Medvedev, who began using Twitter after visiting the micro-blogging Web site's California headquarters in June, frequently posts messages to the site in addition to his LiveJournal blog and YouTube account.
